Project Club Infomation
Riley County 4-H is home to three project clubs. Other projects have county-wide leaders that offer activities and meetings for youth enrolled in those projects. County-wide project opportunities are posted below.
 
-Kennel Club-

Meeting Times – Weekly on Wednesday nights
Meeting Place – Pottorf Hall, Cico Park, Manhattan
A fall session is typically held in October and November. The Spring session begins in February and continues through early summer. 
 
-Straight Shooters-

Fall and Spring sessions are conducted for Shooting Sports. Volunteer instructors assist with various discipline instruction. The shooting sports club is sponsored by Riley/Pottawattomie County 4-H and other local shooting sports supporters. Funding for the program has been provided from the Riley County 4-H Foundation, the NRA Foundation and the Friends of the NRA, the Kansas Rifle Association, and the Riley County Fish and Game Association.
 
-Riley County Rabbit Club-

Meeting Times – 4th Sunday of the month at 3:30
Meeting Place – Pottorf Hall, Clover Room, Cico Park, Manhattan
The club meets monthly and hosts a spring rabbit show. 
 
-Horse-

Meeting Times – Riding practices are conducted on Mondays; April – July
Meeting Place – Wells Arena; CiCo Park, Manhattan
Riding practices are held each Monday from 7-9 p.m. during the months of April through July 15. Practice categories include Showmanship, Pleasure, Trail and Speed. Youth must be members of Riley County 4-H and have updated horse ID papers in order to participate.
