Who May Participate
A team consists of any family unit up to 10 people. A team with children under the age of 16 must have at least one adult on the team. We encourage the entire family to participate in all Park Quest activities. K-State Research and Extension is an equal opportunity provider and employer and is committed to making its services, activities and programs accessible to all participants. It is the participant’s responsibility to have the necessary skills, and equipment for a safe and environmentally sensitive visit.
Park Quest Season
The Park Quest activities for 2012 will be available from May 3, 2012 through September 6, 2012.
Cost
There is no cost to participate in this program.
Registration
Registration for Park Quest 2011 will begin on May 3, 2012. Complete all registration materials on-line or bring them to the Riley County Extension office at 110 Courthouse Plaza, Rm B220. Teams must agree to the Liability Waiver for registration to be complete. After submitting the registration materials, teams will be issued a Park Quest Passport.
Park Quest Passport
The Passport is used to record information for each quest. Remember to take a pen or pencil and extra paper with you to help complete challenge questions. You must maintain and present the original Passport issued upon registration to be eligible for the Finale.
Quests
There are 8 Quests for 2012. The goal of your team is to visit 6 of the 8 designated parks and complete the assigned challenge. Quest instructions can be downloaded from the website beginning in May. Teams must complete their Quest by following the Quest instructions and answering all the questions in the passport. Quests can be completed in any order.
Park Quest Finale
Teams that successfully complete 6 Quests by September 6, 2012 are eligible to attend the Park Quest Finale in September at CiCo Park. Teams must present their original Park Quest Passport and have all endorsements and applicable activities to verify completion of the 6 Quests.
The Finale event will include a mixture of vendors and family-oriented programming. Tickets will be given out for a Grand Prize drawing.

Park Quest teams are invited to document their Quest experiences on the Riley County Extension Facebook page. All photos and entries become the property of the K-State Research and Extension and may be used to promote or document the activities of Riley County K- State Research & Extension.
